Playboi Carti Confirms Fortnite Collab — Chapter 7 Hype Hits New Levels
Playboi Carti has officially confirmed that he will be collaborating with Fortnite, thrilling fans of both the rapper and Epic Games’ massively popular battle royale. The announcement comes as Fortnite approaches the end of its major crossover event with The Simpsons, which introduced a fully cel-shaded map inspired by iconic locations from the legendary series.
As one event wraps up, another is already on the horizon. Fortnite players are preparing for the upcoming Zero Hour live event, which appears to serve as the grand finale for the entire chapter. Key art for the event features characters from many of Chapter 6’s biggest crossovers, suggesting a send-off that ties everything together. Beyond that, Epic Games has also begun teasing what fans can expect in Chapter 7. Recently, the studio confirmed that Kill Bill’s The Bride will be joining the game, and there have even been hints of a Back to the Future collaboration. With anticipation for Chapter 7 rapidly growing, players are eagerly hunting for any new details.
Playboi Carti Confirms Fortnite Collaboration
Rumors began circulating on Twitter after several prominent Fortnite leakers suggested that Playboi Carti was set to appear in the game. The rapper quickly confirmed the speculation by posting the Fortnite logo on his official Instagram account, adding the comment: “NAHH FR.” Although Carti didn’t reveal specifics, fans immediately expressed excitement.
While official details remain scarce, leaker Kurrco claimed that the collaboration could include new cosmetics and possibly even a live event. This wouldn’t be unusual, as Fortnite has hosted large-scale musical performances before—such as Daft Punk’s in-game show and Ariana Grande’s high-energy Rift Tour.
Fortnite has a history of collaborating with major rap artists. Eminem, Travis Scott, and others have already made appearances in the game. In November 2024, Epic even staged a live musical reveal in New York’s Times Square, where Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice introduced the Chapter 2 Remix mini-season. Many fans are now hoping Epic creates something similarly spectacular for Carti.
More Musical Collabs on the Way
Epic Games continues to expand its music-focused content. It was recently confirmed that Lisa, a member of global K-pop sensation Blackpink, will headline Season 12 of Fortnite Festival. Players are expected to be able to enjoy Blackpink tracks in-game, and Lisa will likely receive a set of cosmetics—either through the Item Shop or the Music Pass.
With high-profile collaborations, returning concerts, and new seasons ahead, Fortnite fans have plenty to look forward to. The Playboi Carti crossover is just one more reason the community is excited about what’s next for the game.
