Hitman Teams Up with Eminem: Hunt Down the Real Slim Shady This December!

IO Interactive A/S has revealed an unexpected and fascinating collaboration between HITMAN World of Assassination and rap legend Eminem. Throughout December, players will be able to take on a new Elusive Target inspired by none other than Eminem’s infamous alter ego, Slim Shady.

A mission to eliminate the Real Slim Shady

From December 1 to December 31, HITMAN World of Assassination will feature a special contract where players must track down and eliminate Slim Shady. The event sets up a symbolic confrontation between Eminem and the persona that has followed him throughout his career.

For those unfamiliar, HITMAN World of Assassination is the definitive stealth–action package that unifies HITMAN 1, 2, and 3 into a single experience. It features multiple modes such as Contracts, Escalations, and the rotating Elusive Target missions—now joined by this unique Eminem crossover.

A twisted new environment filled with references

In the event’s narrative, Eminem seeks help from a professional assassin to finally silence Slim Shady, who “keeps coming back.” The Elusive Target mission takes place in a surreal, distorted version of Hokkaido’s medical facility, reimagined as Popsomp Hills Asylum. The environment offers multiple routes and assassination opportunities, encouraging creative approaches to take down the target.

This collaboration also follows the thematic direction of Eminem’s recent album The Death of Slim Shady, which explores the end of his long-running alter ego. The mission echoes that storyline, giving players a chance to confront Shady inside warped studio spaces, chaotic asylum corridors, and other symbolic areas.

Packed with Easter eggs and iconic Eminem moments

The mission is filled with clever references to Eminem’s extensive career. Players may encounter nods such as a dangerous serving of Mom’s Spaghetti, character performances, and even a cameo appearance tied to his recent track “Houdini.” Doctors, patients, performers, and other eccentric NPCs add to the atmosphere, creating one of the most stylistically ambitious Elusive Targets to date.
