Fortnite Fans Shocked: Pac-Man Item Hasn’t Returned to the Shop in Nearly 3 Years

A Fortnite cosmetic from one of the game’s most recognizable crossovers has been missing from the Item Shop for nearly three years. Fans have been unable to purchase the Pac-Man back bling, despite the item’s popularity. Over the years, Fortnite has turned crossovers into a core part of its identity, incorporating characters and themes from video games, movies, music, and major internet personalities. Some collaborations even shaped entire seasons, such as the current mini-season themed around The Simpsons. Yet, one crossover item has quietly faded into obscurity.

Although not the biggest collaboration Fortnite has ever hosted, Pac-Man remains one of the most iconic franchises in gaming history. Since debuting in the early 1980s, Pac-Man has become a global cultural symbol, inspiring sequels, remakes, spin-offs, and merchandise across generations. Fortnite added its own Pac-Man crossover in early 2022, introducing a back bling inspired by Pac-Man himself and the series’ four famous Ghosts. Now, this once-celebrated item has reached an unfortunate milestone.

Pac-Man Back Bling Missing for Almost Three Years

The Pac-Man back bling has officially been absent from Fortnite’s Item Shop for nearly three years. Its last appearance was on February 28, 2023, and it has not returned since. This means more than 1,000 days have passed without the cosmetic reappearing for purchase. Notably, the Pac-Man back bling was originally added less than a year before it disappeared, debuting in June 2022.

This isn’t the first time a Fortnite cosmetic has seemingly vanished. The Reflex skin, for example, has not returned to the shop in over six years—it last appeared in March 2019 and passed 2,000 days of absence in 2023. Despite this, Epic Games does occasionally revive older cosmetics, such as the Diamond Diva pack, which resurfaced earlier this month after not appearing since 2021 during Chapter 2. As for Pac-Man, Epic has made no official comment about the item’s prolonged disappearance.

What’s Next for Fortnite

Fortnite continues to spotlight new crossovers as the Simpsons-themed mini-season nears its end. The game is preparing to launch Chapter 7 next weekend, with major collaborations rumored or confirmed, including Back to the Future and BLACKPINK’s Lisa. Leaks also hint at several high-profile crossovers expected throughout the next chapter, with a SpongeBob SquarePants event being one of the most talked-about possibilities.

With a new chapter arriving at the end of November, Fortnite appears to be accelerating its crossover content—though for now, the Pac-Man back bling remains one of the game’s most notable missing cosmetics.
