Resident Evil Requiem Producer Revealed Whether Leon Kennedy Does Appear in the Game
Before the official announcement of next Resident Evil that was confirmed as Resident Evil Requiem, a lot of fans were confident that Leon Kennedy will be the main protagonist of the next video game. However, it didn't happen, because the main character is FBI agent called Grace Ashcroft. She is also a daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft, who appeared in Resident Evil Outbreak.
Leon Kennedy still remains one of the most iconic Resident Evil characters and we haven't seen him since Resident Evil 6 that was released back in 2012. Of course, we might say about remakes of iconic Resident Evil games, like Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4, but it's something different.

There has been a lot of speculations regarding possible return of Leon Kennedy in Resident Evil Requiem and now video game producer Masato Kumazawa decided to speak about this. In the interview for Stevivor, he revealed that everything Capcom haven't confirmed it's just fake news and with the help of AI it's easy to make any kind of photo. He made it clear that all Leon's images are fake, but at the same time he didn't say Leon won't appear in Resident Evil Requiem.
Resident Evil Requiem will release on February 27, 2026. The game is being developing for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2.
