The game originally launched in April 2025, following global pre-registration in December 2024, but ongoing operational challenges have made continued service impossible.

Service to end after Version 1.3 update

Despite steady development efforts, the team confirmed that Black Beacon will officially discontinue service after the release of Version 1.3. While the game had previously faced global criticism, the shutdown still came as a surprise to many players. For newcomers, Black Beacon is a sci-fi action RPG starring the Outlander, inviting players into a richly crafted world filled with charming characters, exploration, and dynamic combat.

The developers shared the shutdown notice on X (formerly Twitter), stating that “due to operational difficulties related to global service, it will no longer be possible to continue after the 1.3 version update.”

Compensation, refunds, and final in-game support

Following the announcement, the studio disabled all in-app and web-store purchases, and the game has been removed from app stores. As a farewell gesture, players will receive daily support gifts—1,000 Rune Shards and 2 Large Spherical Fruits—delivered to their mailbox until November 30. From December 1 to 30, these items will be distributed every Monday to help fans enjoy the final days with the game.

Additionally, players can request refunds for any unused paid Rune Stones.
