The Fans Will Love Ciri From The Witcher 4 More Than From The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Considering how The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt concluded the story of Geralt from Rivia and set up Ciri as the next protagonist in the future The Witcher videogames, it wasn't a big surprise when The Witcher 4 was officially annoucned and Ciri was confirmed to be the main character of the fourth instalment.

She was one of the main characters in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and let's not forget how important she is in the books. Though we don't have much information about upcoming new The Witcher game, one thing is for sure - Ciri is officially a successor of Geralt from Rivia. It's a huge challenge for the developers, because Geralt has been one of the greatest protagonist over the last ten years and CD Project RED simply can not to cut a poor figure with such a big statement.

Nevertheless, we have some words of support from the developers. On X social-media Amelia "Lilayah", who is the Senior Community Manager for Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher at CD Project RED, decided to speak with the fans. She published an image from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, where Gerald meets young Ciri, though she mentioned that "she had hard ttimes liking Ciri the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt". User kaarxx_ decided to ask, whether Amelia likes Ciri in The Witcher 4 more and she replied: "I do actually, much, much more than in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for sure. Maybe it's the growing part thing, I don't know".

Obviously there was a big time period between the events of The Wilcher 3: Wild Hunt and The Witcher 3. We don't know how much exactly years have passed, but, as we can see in the reveal trailer, Ciri looks much more mature than at the end of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It's really exciting to see how Ciri changed and thanks to Amelia "Lilayah" there is a confidence CD Project RED won't disappoint the fans with their new character of The Witcher franchise.

The Witcher 4 currently has no release date. The earliest prediction for release is 2027.
