Ubisoft are reportedly working on a new Splinter Cell videogame
Ubisoft are well-known studio thanks to the games, like Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Tom Clancy's series, Prince of Persia etc. But a lot of fans and gamers not always happy about them, not only because developers doesn't offer something new content in their titles and releasing a product with awful optimization. It's not the only one claim to the developers - another one is about abandoning some great videogames franchises.
One of that is Splinter Cell, a famous series about spy called Sam Fisher. The character has become one of the most iconic main heroes of all time and the games are often been described are one of the best stealth games ever made. The latest entry were released in 2013, the game is called Splinter Cell: Conviction and a lot of Splinter Cell fans are really exciting about Sam Fisher comeback and they hope it will happen one day. Moreover, when the rumours are circulating over the net that the new Splinter Cell videogame are in development despite being unannounced that gives them hope it might be happening sooner that they expected.

As for new, there is a report regarding new Splinter Cell game that makes the fans happy and sad at the same time. Confirmed by Bloomberg, Ubisoft really started to work on a new Splinter Cell videogame back in 2017, when they wanted to revive the franchise. However, the authority decided that the new game must keep up with the trends, so they decided to focus the attention to live-service elements. As things stand, initial idea of creating new Splinter Cell game have turned the game into their new IP - XDefiant, a multiplayer first person shooter.
A lot of people might say it's a disappointing that new Splinter Cell was cancelled because of XDefiant, but we have another word on that. Former XDefiant executive producer Mark Rubin denied that Ubisoft decided to do XDefiant after Splinter Cell. He said, they were working on ambitious project, but couldn't find the right way to make game being interesting tor the players.
Though the new Splinter Cell is not confirmed officially by Ubisoft, now we know that Ubisoft were working on the new title, sort of. Let's hope soon enough we will find out more information about this.
