Disneyland Game Rush brings Haunted Mansion and more to Fortnite on Nov 6
The crossover event between Fortnite and Disneyland Resort launches on November 6 with the arrival of a new Creative mode island titled Disneyland Game Rush, designed to mark the park’s 70th anniversary.
From a hub modelled on the resort’s Sleeping Beauty Castle to seven mini-games inspired by actual attractions—such as Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, Matterhorn Bobsleds, and Indiana Jones Adventure—the experience is less about competition and more about park-style exploration and celebration.
The Haunted Mansion segment, titled “Scavenger Haunt,” gives players a chance to roam a stylised version of the mansion’s stretching-room aesthetic, collect hidden keys, and unlock themed cosmetics.
Players will enter the hub and then select one of the mini-games, with up to eleven players able to explore simultaneously. Each game corresponds to a distinct attraction: Rocket Race (Space Mountain), Slip-and-Climb (Matterhorn), Mission: Sneak Out (Guardians of the Galaxy), Stormtrooper Showdown (Star Wars), Tomb Runner (Indiana Jones), Spider-Bot Blasters (WEB-Slingers Spider-Man), and Scavenger Haunt (Haunted Mansion). Completing activities yields keys for unlocking island-exclusive cosmetics themed to the 70th anniversary. The partnership between Epic Games and The Walt Disney Company has been in place since last year, when Disney announced a multi-billion-dollar investment in Epic to create an interconnected “games and entertainment universe.” This latest initiative brings a physical-park aesthetic into Fortnite’s multiplayer sandbox as one of the first major-scale park-to-game translations.
The limited-time nature of Disneyland Game Rush emphasises its celebratory purpose: it is not a permanent map addition but a time-bound event aligned with the resort’s anniversary. That said, the structure and aesthetic hint at broader ambitions for digital park experiences within Fortnite’s ecosystem.
From a player’s perspective, the mechanics stay familiar: using the island code 4617-4819-8826 grants access. Within the interactive hub, players can drift between attractions, engage in mini-games, and chase unlockables. Early previews suggest the Haunted Mansion sequence delivers more than just a corridor stroll—it includes dancing ghost figures, thematic lighting, and a nod to the “hatbox” motif from the ride.

For Disney fans, the value lies in recognition: the 70th-anniversary hub re-creates park landmarks, skyline vistas, and iconic architecture from Disneyland Resort, giving the crossover a sense of place rather than a generic skin drop. For Fortnite players, the appeal is a fresh environment and cosmetic rewards rather than a major gameplay shift. While the contents are relatively simple compared to larger Fortnite events, the immersive scale—a virtual version of Disneyland within Fortnite—remains its defining feature.
The event bridges two distinct audiences: theme-park fans who may dabble in Fortnite and regular Fortnite players who may not typically engage with Disney brand extensions. That blend suggests both companies see value in shared experiences rather than purely competitive modes. Going forward, the event may serve as a template for how digital parks, brand hubs, or thematic islands can exist within large multiplayer titles.
