Arc Raiders Hosts Final Server Slam Ahead of Release
Arc Raiders is making a final return before release, and this time, anyone can join. Embark Studios has announced a free server slam event for the PvPvE extraction shooter, running October 17–19 across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The goal is to stress-test servers before the official launch on October 30, while also giving players a hands-on look at the game.
The event follows April’s invite-only technical test, which drew positive reactions but left many fans hoping for an open opportunity. Embark went quiet after confirming the release date, but now players can step into the Dam Battlegrounds map for one more test run. Limited progression will be available, including early crafting and quests, though all progress will reset after the event. To mark participation, players who join will receive an exclusive backpack cosmetic in the full game.
Priced at $40 for the standard edition and $60 for the deluxe, Arc Raiders mixes PvPvE mechanics with extraction-style gameplay. Players battle both AI-controlled threats and other squads while chasing objectives and managing risk. The design aims to blend survival tension with high-action encounters, backed by full cross-play support at launch.
For Embark, the weekend test is both a marketing push and a technical checkpoint. Stress-testing servers under real-world conditions helps ensure smoother stability when demand peaks on launch day. Hosting the event on a weekend maximizes participation, and offering rewards encourages players to return for the full release.
With the server slam less than a month before release, October 17 offers the clearest chance to see how Arc Raiders has evolved. For anyone curious about the game, it is the last opportunity to try before committing to launch.
