HoYoverse has officially unveiled its upcoming simulation game, Petit Planet. A Teaser That Hints at More to Come

The trailer, which runs just under 20 seconds, shows a small, round pet joyfully exploring a lush, green environment dotted with mushrooms. After a few seconds, the Petit Planet logo appears, marking the end of the reveal. Beyond this short glimpse, details remain scarce — meaning fans will have to wait a little longer before learning what the game truly has to offer.

From Rumor to Reality

Discussions surrounding Petit Planet first surfaced in June 2023, when leaks hinted that HoYoverse was working on a casual simulation game reminiscent of Nintendo’s hit title Animal Crossing.

Further reports in March 2025 strengthened these rumors, describing the game as a life simulation experience featuring anthropomorphic animals and a strong emphasis on user-generated content. Previously, trademark filings suggested the working title Astaweave Haven before multiple official social media accounts confirmed the final name, Petit Planet.

A New Direction for HoYoverse

With this announcement, HoYoverse is stepping into the farming and pet simulation genre — a fresh direction for the studio best known for its sprawling RPGs like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
