Fortnite Leak Hints at Sonic and Shadow Skins Coming Soon

Fortnite may be gearing up for one of its biggest crossovers yet, as a new leak points to Sonic the Hedgehog arriving in the battle royale alongside his longtime rival, Shadow. The news comes from leaker Hypex, who credits the discovery to data miner Wensoing.

According to the leak, the collaboration will also tie into the release of a new set of Sonic-themed sneakers set to launch on October 30. While Epic Games has not officially confirmed the crossover, the timing suggests Sonic and Shadow could be added to Fortnite around the same date.

At this stage, no full skin designs have leaked, but the expectation is that players will be able to take on the roles of both characters. The collaboration appears to be limited in scope, with no signs of additional SEGA icons such as Tails, Amy, or Dr. Eggman.

It is possible an official reveal could arrive during the Tokyo Game Show later this month, where SEGA is scheduled to appear. Until then, the details remain unconfirmed, though the crossover aligns with Fortnite’s ongoing strategy of high-profile collaborations.

Alongside the Sonic leak, other crossover content is also in the works for Fortnite. Silent Hill has been referenced in recent reports, while The Simpsons are rumored to feature in the next season. Peacemaker is also said to be on the way, and Epic is preparing a major in-game birthday celebration.

If the leak holds true, Fortnite players may soon find themselves swapping out web-shooters and lightsabers for a chance to drop into battle as Sonic or Shadow, marking another unusual but fitting addition to Epic’s ever-expanding roster of pop culture icons.
