Fortnite Rumored to Crossover With Indie Horror Hit REPO
A fresh rumor suggests that Fortnite may soon launch a collaboration with the rising indie sensation REPO. Over the years, Fortnite has built a reputation for having one of the most expansive and ambitious crossover lineups in gaming. From iconic characters across pop culture to real-world celebrities, Epic Games’ battle royale constantly keeps players excited with unexpected additions.
Fortnite’s Crossover Legacy
Fortnite’s collaborations have long been one of its defining features. Chapter 5 Season 4 strengthened the Marvel connection with skins for Doctor Doom, War Machine, Shuri, Emma Frost, and others. Season 5 leaned into cinema, introducing cosmetics inspired by beloved movie characters such as Cruella de Vil, Maleficent, Edward Scissorhands, and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas. These partnerships broaden Fortnite’s audience and ensure fresh experiences for players every season.
Now, according to a new leak, the crossover list may be growing yet again.
REPO x Fortnite: What We Know
Well-known Fortnite insiders Shiina and FNBRintel recently claimed on Twitter that a collaboration between Fortnite and REPO is confirmed, though they didn’t share specific details about what the crossover will include. Fans responded with enthusiasm, with some hoping for an emote inspired by REPO’s viral “I love” animation, while others speculated about potential back blings or footwear cosmetics tied to the game’s eerie characters.
The Rise of REPO
Released in February 2025, REPO quickly became a breakout hit on Steam, earning a spot alongside popular co-op titles like Valheim, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Helldivers 2. The game challenges players to team up with up to five friends to recover valuable items from haunted environments filled with terrifying creatures. Among its roster of monsters are Banger, a walking skull that explodes, and the Headman, considered one of the most dangerous foes in the game.
Not the First Indie Collaboration
While the rumor has generated plenty of buzz, it’s important to note that Epic Games has not yet officially confirmed the crossover. Until then, players should approach the leak with caution. Still, this wouldn’t be Fortnite’s first foray into indie territory. In 2022, the game introduced cosmetics based on Among Us, and more recently collaborated with Lethal Company, adding a skin based on the Employee.
If the REPO crossover proves real, it will further solidify Fortnite as a cultural hub where mainstream icons and indie gems alike can find a new audience.
