A Mobile Spin on the Tom Clancy Universe

First announced in May 2021, The Division Resurgence was introduced as a standalone, free-to-play mobile game set within the Tom Clancy franchise. Ubisoft promised an open-world New York City experience, combining both PvE and PvP modes, and bringing the tactical depth of the mainline series to smartphones.

A Rocky Road to Release

Since its reveal, the game has gone through multiple rounds of closed alphas and regional betas across Southeast Asia, the U.S., Brazil, and other regions. However, its development has faced numerous setbacks.

The game was originally slated for a Fall 2023 global launch, but repeated delays pushed the release back first to early 2024, then to December 2024. In July 2024, Ubisoft postponed both The Division Resurgence and Rainbow Six Mobile indefinitely, citing the need for further refinements and higher quality standards. This decision even sparked concerns about Ubisoft’s financial outlook for FY25.

What to Expect from the September 2025 Test

According to Ubisoft, the upcoming build will be largely similar to the version tested in December 2023. Players who spent money during past regional betas will be reimbursed with Premium Credits, credited directly to their accounts once the game officially launches.

To encourage participation, Ubisoft has introduced a bonus currency system:

  • Spending up to $300 earns players 150% value in Premium Credits.
  • Spending beyond $300 grants 120% value.

This bonus resets at the start of every regional beta, giving testers multiple chances to benefit.

Registration Now Open

Players can now pre-register to secure a spot in the upcoming test phase. iOS users must complete the registration process directly, while Android players can pre-register via the official site. Invitations will be distributed to those who sign up.

A Step Toward Redemption

After more than a year of uncertainty, The Division Resurgence finally seems to be regaining momentum. For fans eager to experience the tactical mobile shooter, the return of testing signals that the project is moving forward once again.
