Story Trailer for Co-op Shooter Borderlands 4 Revealed — Iconic Characters Return

The Borderlands series of first-person role-playing shooter video games is back. Gearbox has officially presented a story trailer for the co-op shooter Borderlands 4, opening the curtain on a new story within the series' universe.

This time, players are transported to the uncharted planet of Kyros, ruled by the tyrannical Time Keeper and his formidable army of cybernetic soldiers. Four new Vault Hunters rise to challenge his control, all while pursuing mysterious ancient artifacts hidden across the world.

To the delight of longtime fans, the trailer confirmed the return of beloved characters — the ever-chatty Claptrap and the charismatic Moxxi are back in action. Visually, Borderlands 4 marks a major step forward for the series, with improved direction and cinematic quality. As expected, the gameplay looks as chaotic and over-the-top as ever — only faster and even more intense.

Borderlands 4 is set to launch on September 12 and will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
