Genshin Impact 5.7 Expands Traveler’s Tales with 12 New Characters
Genshin Impact is gearing up for a major expansion of its Traveler’s Tales mode — one of the coziest and most charming storytelling formats in the game. According to a new leak from reliable source HomDGCat, Version 5.7 will introduce a fresh batch of short character-driven stories featuring heroes from across Teyvat. Players will once again have the chance to encounter various characters throughout the open world, discover new sides of their personalities, and earn rewards by completing these narrative moments.
While the initial wave of Traveler’s Tales focused on Mondstadt and Liyue, the upcoming update broadens the scope to include Inazuma, Sumeru, Fontaine, and even Natlan. The new lineup brings together both 4-star and 5-star characters — ranging from Cyno and Tighnari to Charlotte and Xilonen. Based on previous waves, some characters may receive multiple short story scenes.

Characters featured in Traveler’s Tales (Version 5.7):
Character | Region |
Shikanoin Heizou | Inazuma |
Sayu | Inazuma |
Kirara | Inazuma |
Thoma | Inazuma |
Dori | Sumeru |
Cyno | Sumeru |
Tighnari | Sumeru |
Dehya | Sumeru |
Charlotte | Fontaine |
Neuvillette | Fontaine |
Ifa | Natlan |
Xilonen | Natlan |

Each of these characters will receive at least one Anecdote Chronicle — a short in-world cutscene or interaction that players can find and trigger. In the first wave, there were 45 unique dialogue events, and some characters had up to 3–5 different scenarios.
Interestingly, one of the upcoming Anecdote Chronicles may even hint at Genshin Impact’s next region, known as Nod-Krai, which has already begun to surface in leaks and teasers tied to future updates. This only adds to the excitement surrounding what’s coming next.
Besides Traveler’s Tales, Version 5.7 is scheduled to launch on June 18 and will bring a wealth of new content to the game — including new playable characters Skirk and Dahlia, as well as a rumored new endgame mode. All in all, it looks like a packed and exciting summer is on the horizon for Genshin Impact fans.
