GTA 6 Promo Art Might Include a Creepy Nod to Manhunt’s Piggsy — But Don’t Expect a Crossover

A sharp-eyed fan recently spotted what could be a chilling Easter egg in the latest promotional content for Grand Theft Auto 6: a possible reference to Manhunt’s infamous chainsaw-wielding killer, Piggsy. While this has sparked speculation about the character’s return, there’s good reason to stay cautious about reading too much into it.

A Gruesome Throwback to Rockstar’s Darkest Game?

First appearing in Manhunt—one of Rockstar’s most controversial and violent titles—Piggsy is a deranged killer who wears a pig's head and brandishes a chainsaw. Despite Manhunt turning 23 in November 2025, Rockstar may not have completely buried its grisly horror legacy.

In a recent video, YouTuber GTAVIoclock pointed out a new GTA 6 artwork featuring character Cal Hampton sitting in a boat. On Hampton’s exposed right shin is a tattoo that closely resembles Piggsy—though partially hidden by the boat, it’s hard to confirm the details.

Is This Really a Hint? Don’t Bet On It

While fans are eager for connections between Rockstar’s darker franchises, a tattoo likely isn’t confirmation of anything more. Rockstar is known for sneaky Easter eggs that serve as stylistic or thematic nods, not universe-building lore.

It’s also worth remembering that Manhunt was originally part of the now-retired GTA 3D universe, which differs from the one used in GTA 4, GTA 5, and seemingly GTA 6. Even if Piggsy appeared in some form, it wouldn't be the exact same character canonically.

Why Would Cal Hampton Have a Piggsy Tattoo?

Knowing Rockstar, this detail could be more about personality than plot. Cal Hampton, based on what’s known so far, seems like a wild, eccentric character—possibly GTA 6’s answer to “The Truth” from San Andreas. For someone like that, a tattoo of a fictional serial killer might just be part of the absurd charm and satire Rockstar is known for.

Final Thoughts

The tattoo may be a nod to Rockstar's twisted legacy, but fans hoping for a full Manhunt crossover in GTA 6 shouldn’t hold their breath. Still, the inclusion is a fun throwback for longtime players—and a reminder that no Rockstar detail is ever entirely random.
