Leak Hints at Possible One Punch Man Crossover in Fortnite

A new leak may suggest that the hit anime One Punch Man could be heading to Fortnite in a future crossover event. Over the years, Fortnite has become famous for its wide range of collaborations with major pop culture franchises — and anime crossovers have become increasingly frequent.

Currently, Fortnite is running its massive Galactic Battle event in partnership with Star Wars, which has proven to be more expansive than most fans expected. The game’s map has been dramatically reworked, transforming the familiar Battle Royale island into a full-fledged Star Wars theme park. Iconic locations have received immersive sci-fi makeovers, and players can enjoy a wave of new cosmetics, including skins, gear, and alternate versions of characters.

One of the standout features of this event is a new AI-powered Darth Vader NPC, capable of interacting with players through generative chatbot functionality. This cutting-edge feature lets Vader respond dynamically to player actions and even comment on the skins they wear.

Hidden Clue Hints at Saitama’s Arrival

While exploring the files behind the Darth Vader AI NPC, dataminers may have stumbled upon something unexpected. According to a tweet from Fortnite news account HypeX, user @itsmeleaky claims to have found a reference to a yet-unreleased skin — and it sounds suspiciously like Saitama, the bald-headed hero of One Punch Man.

The description, reportedly embedded in files associated with the Vader AI, reads like a prompt for the chatbot: “a character wearing a yellow and red suit with a black belt. He has a bald head and no facial features.” While generic on the surface, this combination of visual traits strongly aligns with Saitama's iconic look. In the anime, Saitama loses his hair due to his extreme training regime, which also grants him the power to defeat any enemy with a single punch. His intentionally simple design stands in contrast to the more elaborate appearances of other heroes and villains in the series.

What This Could Mean for Fortnite

Although Epic Games has not confirmed any plans for a One Punch Man crossover, the presence of this prompt in the AI's files opens the door for speculation. It also suggests that the Darth Vader NPC is programmed to recognize and react to players wearing the skin — just as it currently does with other unique characters like Llamataun or Wind Sprite.

If the leak is accurate, fans could be looking at yet another high-profile anime crossover joining the Fortnite universe — and for many, the arrival of Saitama would be a knockout addition.
