Here’s GTA 6 Trailer 2 Song!
So, Rockstar just dropped GTA 6 Trailer 2, and while everyone’s losing their minds over new characters, neon-soaked chaos, and alligator drive-bys, fans also instantly locked onto the song playing in the background. Because let’s be honest, a GTA trailer without a killer track just isn’t a GTA trailer.
The new GTA 6 song of choice? “Hot Together” by The Pointer Sisters. Yep, Rockstar is digging deep into ‘80s R&B pop this time, and the track absolutely slaps.
“Hot Together” is the title track from the California trio’s 1986 pop R&B record and comes in at four minutes and 13 seconds long.
This isn’t one of The Pointer Sisters' biggest radio hits — at least not compared to "Jump" or "I’m So Excited" — but it brings that sultry, sweaty, pastel-soaked Miami energy in full force. It’s groovy, it’s seductive, and it’s got that understated vibe that makes it perfect for cruising Vice City at 3 AM with five stars on your tail.
Speaking of the top of the charts, industry giants won't be able to stop the rise in game prices, according to the former owner of PlayStation.
“Aside from being a steamy dance cut very obviously born in the ‘80s, Hot Together already feels right at home in this revamped version of Vice City.”
It's an interesting contrast to the first GTA 6 trailer, which featured Tom Petty’s “Love Is a Long Road.” That track had this wistful, heartland rock feel — gritty and grounded, as if it was teasing the emotional weight of the game’s Bonnie-and-Clyde-style narrative. Petty’s song hit right in the chest.
“GTA 6 was properly announced with its first trailer in December 2023. It was a dreamy look at Rockstar’s new world that features Florida-born rockstar Tom Petty’s Love Is a Long Road.”
So now with Trailer 2, we’re going from dusty highways to dancefloor heat. It’s like Rockstar is showing us the other side of Vice City — the passion, the flash, the nightlife. It’s the “you meet at a strip club, fall in love, rob a bank, and end up on the run” part of the story.
Even more fun? “Hot Together” wasn’t even in The Pointer Sisters’ top 10 most-played songs on Spotify before today, but you can bet that’s already changing. Just like what happened to Tom Petty’s streaming numbers after the first trailer, this track’s about to get a second life in the algorithm.
“It doesn’t crack The Pointer Sisters’ top 10 most popular songs on Spotify at the time of this piece’s publication, but there’s a good chance that will change as the day rolls on.”
So what does this all mean? Well, beyond confirming that GTA 6 still has the best musical taste in the game, it gives us one more clue about the game’s tone. Rockstar doesn’t just throw in random tracks. If “Love Is a Long Road” was about longing, pain, and commitment, then “Hot Together” is about chemistry, attraction, and danger — the kind that burns fast and ends in a shootout.

We’ve still got a year to wait, though. GTA 6 is officially set to launch on May 26, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. No PC version yet, which has the usual suspects sweating. But at least we’ve got more screenshots, more trailers, and now two amazing songs to vibe to until then.
Just imagine the scale of events that will take place on the GTA 6 platform. Considering Solomun's DJ set in GTA 5, I think we're in for a non-stop virtual party. For example, the DJs in the clubs will be constantly changing, and it will be a musically independent environment.
