Ghost of Yōtei New Trailer Unveiled

Sucker Punch has officially announced the release date for its highly anticipated sequel, Ghost of Yōtei, confirming that the game will launch exclusively on PlayStation 5 on October 2, 2025.

“It’s been nearly five years since we shipped Ghost of Tsushima, and in that time we’ve been hard at work making Ghost of Yōtei something special,” said Sucker Punch’s Andrew Goldfarb. “While the stories are unrelated, it’s important to us that this feels like a worthy follow-up to Jin’s journey. We can’t wait for you to experience Atsu’s quest for vengeance later this year.”

Alongside the announcement, the studio dropped a brand-new trailer offering a deeper look into the game’s storyline and gameplay. 🎥

🐺 A Vengeance-Fueled Journey Begins

The trailer gives fans their first real insight into protagonist Atsu’s mission. Once left for dead after a brutal attack on her village, Atsu now returns with a list of names and a burning desire for revenge. Her enemies? A ruthless gang known as the Yōtei Six:

• The Kitsune
• The Spider
• The Dragon
• Lord Saito

“They killed her family and pinned her to a burning ginkgo tree... but she survived,” the narration teases. “She learned to fight, to kill, and to hunt.”

While the trailer is just a taste of what’s to come, Sucker Punch confirmed it reflects their broader mission to evolve the open-world experience. Ghost of Yōtei will feature less repetitive exploration and activities—one of the key criticisms of Ghost of Tsushima.
