Brawl Stars April 2025 Brawl Talk Recap: Ultra Legendary Brawlers, Katana Kingdom Event, New Game Modes & More

Supercell has returned with another action-packed Brawl Talk in April 2025, following February’s popular UNO crossover. This time, Brawl Stars is introducing a massive update that includes a brand-new Ultra Legendary Brawler rarity, an epic four-part event called Battle for Katana Kingdom, powerful Wasabi Powers, brand-new game modes (including a MOBA mode), tons of skins, and much more.

🌀 Ultra Legendary Brawler Rarity & New Brawlers

🔥 Ultra Legendary Rarity

A new rarity tier enters the game: Ultra Legendary. Brawlers in this tier will feature unique mechanics and offer highly distinctive gameplay experiences.

🥷 Kaze — The First Ultra Legendary Brawler

Kaze is a dual-identity Brawler: a deadly ninja and a peaceful geisha, and the wife of Kenji. You can switch between her Geisha and Ninja aspects at will, each having its own attacks, Supers, Star Powers, Gadgets, and even two Hypercharges.

• Geisha Form: Uses bladed fans and a “Strike Spot” for bonus damage. Her Super, Fan Storm, reduces enemy visibility and deals AoE damage. Gadgets and Star Powers enhance both utility and crowd control.
• Ninja Form: Throws close-range shurikens and dashes through enemies with a mark-and-detonate mechanic. Star Powers reward aggressive play and quick swaps. Gadgets provide healing or movement when switching.

Best of all—unlocking powers for one form unlocks them for both.

🎤 Jae-yong — The Karaoke Master

Not Ultra Legendary, but equally interesting, Jae-yong has two musical “modes”:

• Party Mode: Heals teammates.
• Work Mode: Grants speed boosts with reduced damage.

His Super, Mix It Up, switches modes and grants buffs like instant healing or temporary mobility. He’s a flexible support with powerful utility options.

⚔️ Battle for Katana Kingdom Event

This four-week event features an unfolding story with new game modes, cosmetics, and a new Wasabi Powers system.

🌶️ Wasabi Powers & Sushi Rolls

Earn Sushi Rolls via quests, daily wins, and shop offers to unlock Wasabi Powers—60 total across four heat levels:

• 🔥 Hot (20)
• 🔥🔥 Extra Hot (15)
• 🌶️ Crazy Hot (15)
• 🔥🌪️ Inferno (10)

Powers can only be used in Wasabi Modifier modes. Every sushi you earn fills the Sushi Meter, unlocking rewards like skins, gadgets, Hypercharges, and the exclusive Oni Kenji Hypercharge Skin.

🍽️ Mega Buffet

A revamped version of Mega Pig, this club-based event lets you earn Sushi Rolls by playing with your club. Win matches to fill your Club’s Sushi Buffet and unlock rewards.

🧩 New Game Modes

🥷 Samurai Smash

3v3 or 5v5 matches with hostile Samuraibots on the field. Earn points by defeating bots and opposing players.

👹 Oni Hunt

Team up to battle a Hypercharged Demon Kenji across five difficulty levels daily. Completing each stage earns seven days of rewards including sushi rolls.

🧠 Brawl Arena (MOBA Mode)

Launching in June, this MOBA-inspired mode includes:

• Power leveling
• Towers
• Bot waves & jungle
• A team-boosting Kaiju boss

Each match lasts around 5 minutes, blending classic Brawl Stars action with strategy gameplay.

🏆 Daily Contests

Compete against 10 other players. Finish in the Top 8 to earn sushi and other rewards.

• Kaze: Ancient Energy — Enhanced damage and mobility in both forms
• Griff: Tax Rebate — Piercing, multiplying banknotes
