Free Skin Likely Coming to Fortnite in the Next Update

Recent leaks have revealed that a free skin is on its way to Fortnite, with a new trailer suggesting it will likely become available once the next patch goes live. Collecting skins remains one of Fortnite's most exciting elements. While they don't impact gameplay thanks to Fortnite’s lack of a pay-to-win system, browsing the Item Shop after each refresh or checking out Battle Pass leaks before an update is always a thrill for players eager to see what’s coming next.

It appears the white-haired skin shown in the trailer will serve as the new Ranked skin, following a similar path to the free Felina skin given away back in September 2024. If that's the case, players can expect to earn additional cosmetics tied to the skin's set as they level up — with the skin itself unlocked at 50 account levels. After that, they can jump into Ranked Mode to unlock extra styles for the skin, each reflecting their highest achieved rank.
