What’s in the Update?

The latest patch, now live on the Public Test Server (PTS), brings more than just bug fixes and new content — it introduces a fully functional fishing mechanic. Players can now catch fish and even cook up special meals using their fresh haul.

A new area called Fisherman’s Rest has been added, complete with a cast of quirky wasteland characters. One of them, Captain Raymond Clark (aka The Fisherman), will teach you how to fish. His not-so-little companion, a giant crab named Linda-Lee, offers legendary rewards if you feed her your catch.

The fishing journey kicks off with the "Casting Off" questline, which starts either at a sign near Vault 76 or by picking up a signal in The Mire. Early quests will reward you with your first fishing rod, giving you access to local fishing spots. The rod is upgradeable at the weapons workbench, and choosing the right bait will be key to reeling in the good stuff.

Your first successful catch unlocks a new list of craftable recipes, adding even more depth to the system.

📝 Full patch notes are available on the Bethesda website.

📅 The official release date for the update hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Time to grab your rod and head to the Wasteland waters!
