There’s also buzz about Mortal Kombat characters joining Fortnite’s growing roster. Leaks indicate that Raiden, Kitana, and Scorpion could become playable soon, with a 15-item bundle rumored to be launching on March 28 for 3,300 V-Bucks. With Sub-Zero already featured in Chapter 6 Season 2, along with his Kombat Kit that grants ice-based abilities, it seems Epic Games is diving deeper into Mortal Kombat’s universe.

Fortnite’s Next Star Wars Mini-Season Could Arrive on May 2

In a recent post, leaker HYPEX revealed that Fortnite could be launching a Star Wars-themed mini-season on May 2. The event is expected to last only 35 days, making it one of the shortest seasons in Fortnite history. While Epic Games has yet to confirm the details, many players are hoping to see characters from Andor and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor added to the game.

Fortnite’s History with Star Wars Crossovers

This wouldn’t be Fortnite’s first Star Wars collaboration. Recently, players were able to purchase samurai-inspired versions of Darth Vader and the Stormtrooper, and over the years, several beloved characters from the franchise—including Darth Vader, The Mandalorian, and figures from the prequel, original, and sequel trilogies—have appeared in the Item Shop and Battle Passes.

While full-season collaborations have worked well in the past—such as the Marvel-themed Fortnite season—some players prefer shorter events that don’t dominate an entire season’s theme. If the mini-season format proves successful, Epic Games may continue using it for future franchise crossovers.

As always, these leaks should be taken with caution. While many rumors turn out to be accurate, some concepts are never fully realized or end up being canceled. Regardless, with a new season on the horizon and more exciting content in the works, Fortnite fans have plenty to look forward to.
