If you've jumped into Monster Hunter Wilds and realized that your character's appearance doesn't quite hit the mark, you’re in luck – there’s a way to change it for free! However, there’s a catch: you only get one free appearance change, and if you want to alter your look again, you'll have to pay for it.

This is a real trap for Sims lovers like me! Personally, it works for me that the more effort I put into creating a character, the less I end up liking them later. That’s why I often click default or random, and then I enjoy playing with my "not-my-choice" character much longer as if it’s part of the game’s circumstances.

How to Change an appearance for free?

To make your one-time change, you’ll need to visit your Base Camp and head into the Appearance Menu. There, you'll be able to adjust features like your hair, facial hair, makeup, and clothing. These small tweaks come at no cost, but if you want to completely redesign your character, that’s where the Character Edit Vouchers come into play.

If you decide to go beyond the free tweaks, purchasing the vouchers is your only option. A pack of three vouchers costs $6.99, and these vouchers can’t be earned through gameplay – meaning if you want a major makeover, you’ll need to open your wallet.
