A recent Honkai: Star Rail leak has unveiled a new chimera pet companion set to arrive in Version 3.2. While the pet system was introduced during the 2.0 update, the roster of available pets has yet to expand.

Unlike its counterpart Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail does not offer a wide selection of companion pets. Although players have encountered pets like Peppy and Diting early in the game, these interactions were limited to specific quests. For a long time, fans had been asking for a permanent pet system. Their requests were finally answered in Version 2.5, when the Luminary Wardance quest introduced Tuskpir, a pet that players could freely walk around with on the map. Honkai: Star Rail's Next Permanent Pet – Bubbles

A reliable leaker, Sakura Haven, has revealed details about the next permanent pet in Honkai: Star Rail, expected to debut in Version 3.2. According to the leak, this new companion will be a chimera named Bubbles, a water-loving creature that sports sunglasses, a float, and a hat. Chimeras are small, adorable creatures found around Amphoreus, and they have quickly gained popularity among players due to their charming designs. Additionally, a limited-time event centered around chimeras has been confirmed for Version 3.1, allowing players to learn more about these creatures before Bubbles officially arrives.

The leak does not specify how players will unlock this new chimera pet, but there is speculation that it might be tied to a quest. Currently, players can obtain a chimera by purchasing a Mysterious Gift from Janus’ Steed in Amphoreus. However, the appearance and color of the chimera are randomized, and it is automatically placed in the Trailblazer’s room in Okhema City—meaning players cannot take it with them as a companion. The introduction of Bubbles in Version 3.2 could mark the beginning of a broader expansion of the pet system, giving players more companion options in the future.

Upcoming Honkai: Star Rail Update

Honkai: Star Rail’s next update is scheduled for February 26, bringing the debut of new playable characters Tribbie and Mydei. Tribbie, in particular, is expected to have a significant impact on the current meta, as she is rumored to be the next top-tier Harmony support in the game after Sunday.
