State of Play: Days Gone Remastered Announced for PS5 with New Features
Sony has officially revealed Days Gone Remastered for PlayStation 5 during its February 2025 State of Play showcase. This enhanced edition of Bend Studio’s open-world survival game arrives on April 25, 2025, bringing new gameplay modes, technical improvements, and additional accessibility options.
Among the standout features are a permadeath mode, a speedrun mode, and an enhanced photo mode. Players will also experience Horde Assault, a new arcade-style challenge where Deacon St. John faces even larger waves of Freakers. The remaster takes advantage of PS5 hardware with VRR support, DualSense features, and visual improvements available in Performance and Quality modes.
Days Gone Remastered will be available for $49.99, with PS4 owners able to upgrade for $10. PC players aren't left out either—Sony has announced the $10 Broken Roads DLC, which adds new modes, DualSense support, and additional accessibility features.
Pre-orders go live tomorrow, offering exclusive PSN avatars and early in-game unlocks. With this remaster, Days Gone joins The Last of Us Part I and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered in Sony’s growing lineup of PS5-enhanced classics.
