Cyberpunk 2077 celebrates 4 years: new free update 2.2 is now available
Cyberpunk 2077 is four years old, and CD Projekt RED continues to actively support the game. To create the latest update 2.2, the company has engaged the outsourcing studio Virtuos. This update is already available for free on all platforms and adds many new features and improvements.
Vehicle customisation
One of the key innovations is the ability to customise cars in real time. Players can now change the appearance of the car to their liking or even copy the design of any car found in Knight City. This innovation will be useful not only for aesthetics but also for a quick escape from the police. In addition, the number of cars at Autofixers dealers has been significantly increased.
Johnny Silverhand is still alive
Johnny Silverhand has become even more realistic. Now he can randomly appear in the player's car, sitting in the next seat, to give advice, irony or just to entertain with his presence. To maintain realism, his appearance is limited to 25% of the time and depends on specific situations. For example, during a battle or when another NPC is occupying a spot, Johnny will not appear.
Improved character editor
The character editor has twice as many customisation options. New hairstyles, eye colours, nail shapes, scars, makeup, and other details are now available. Players can create a completely random appearance or randomise only certain elements, leaving the rest unchanged. For fans of bright experiments, a special "punk" slider has been added, which allows you to choose between a restrained style and radical images.
Advanced photo mode
Photo mode has received significant improvements. It now has a free camera, the ability to add artificial lighting and up to three characters to a scene. You can save the pictures, frame them, and even decorate your apartment with them.
The future of the game
Representatives of CD Projekt RED stated that support for Cyberpunk 2077 will continue, and in the future, we can expect at least one more major update, similar to 2.2. The game remains in the focus of the developers and continues to evolve, giving fans new opportunities to immerse themselves in the world of Night City.
