Recently, Konami hosted a private presentation of the Silent Hill 2 remake for representatives of major gaming publications. Journalists from Eurogamer, IGN, and VGC had the opportunity to play the initial segment of the game, from the very beginning up to the first encounter with the iconic Pyramid Head.
Expanded Gameplay and World
The gameplay video reveals that Bloober Team has expanded the world of Silent Hill 2, allowing players to explore previously inaccessible locations and buildings. Additionally, new areas have been introduced, enriching the overall gaming experience.
The combat system has also seen significant updates. Players can now dodge monster attacks, aim more precisely, and utilize various tactics during combat, adding depth and strategy to the encounters.
Official Story Trailer and Technical Details
The Silent Hill 2 remake is being developed using Unreal Engine 5. In October 2022, Bloober Team announced preliminary system requirements for the PC version of the game. According to these early specs, an NVIDIA RTX 2080 graphics card will be sufficient to run the game at 1080p resolution, with high graphics settings and 30 frames per second. However, these requirements are subject to change before the game's official release.
