Genshin Impact Version 4.8 Release Details

HoYoverse has announced that Genshin Impact Version 4.8 will be released on July 17, 2024. This update will bring a new map, a new character, and various exciting features. Version 4.7, which launched on June 5, introduced two 5-star characters, Clorinde and Sigewinne, and the 4-star character Sethos, along with new weapons, quests, event wishes, and Genius Invokation TCG Cards.

As Genshin Impact approaches Version 5.0, rumors suggest the introduction of three new characters: a 5-star Dendro Claymore, a female 5-star Hydro Catalyst, and a female 4-star Geo Polearm. Version 5.0 is also expected to unveil the new Natlan region and potentially increase the level cap to 100. Additional leaks indicate that Madame Ping will make her debut during the Lantern Rite event in Version 5.0.

What's New in Version 4.8

Version 4.8 will feature the limited-time Simulanka map, offering new stories, seasonal events, and numerous rewards. It will also introduce new outfits for Nilou and Kirara. A new 5-star character, Emilie, will join the roster as a Dendro polearm wielder. Emilie, a renowned perfume designer from Fontaine, possesses a unique ability called the Lumidouce Case, which deals extra damage over time to enemies with the Burning status. Additionally, new Thespian Tricks (character poses) will be added, following their initial introduction in Version 4.7's Imaginarium Theater.

Release Schedule

Version 4.8's Phase 1 banners will feature Nilou and Navia, available from July 17 to August 6. Phase 2 will debut Emilie's banner and a rerun of Yelan's banner, available from August 6 to August 27. Players can redeem several livestream codes before Version 4.8's release to earn Primogems, Mystic Enhancement Ores, Hero's Wits, and Mora.

Looking ahead, Version 5.0 is expected to launch near the end of August, introducing the new Natlan region. Genshin Impact has a history of unveiling new regions with each major update, such as Sumeru in Version 3.0 and Fontaine in Version 4.0.
