Street Fighter 6 Year 2 Pass: M. Bison DLC Arriving June 26, 2024

Capcom has announced that M. Bison, the first character of Street Fighter 6's Year 2 pass and the next DLC character, will arrive sooner than anticipated: June 26, 2024. Capcom's momentum for Street Fighter 6 continues strong, following the first-year DLC pass that introduced four new characters. Recently revealed at Summer Game Fest, the second pass will feature not only returning fan-favorite characters but also guest fighters from SNK's Fatal Fury franchise.

Street Fighter 6's Year 2 pass brings back Elena and M. Bison. Elena, a nature-loving fighter from Kenya, debuted in Street Fighter 3 as part of the "new generation." M. Bison, one of the series' most iconic villains, first appeared in Street Fighter 2 as a non-playable boss character and continued to play a significant role in subsequent games. His reign as Shadaloo's leader seemingly ended when Ryu defeated him in Street Fighter 5, and he was presumed dead. However, the iconic villain has somehow returned and will be part of the Street Fighter 6 roster this June.

The Year 2 reveal trailer, shown at Summer Game Fest, briefly showcased each fighter and their release windows, with M. Bison being the first to launch in Summer 2024. After the event, Capcom teased a gameplay trailer for M. Bison, highlighting some of his moves and playstyle. Following the trailer premiere, Capcom confirmed on Twitter that M. Bison would join the roster on June 26, just a few weeks away.

When Will M. Bison Be Added to Street Fighter 6?

According to Capcom, this version of the classic Street Fighter villain is suffering from amnesia, wandering aimlessly upon his steed. Despite becoming a drifter, Bison reclaims his old identity, remaining the same character fans remember from older games. This iteration retains his familiar moves, such as the Psycho Crusher, Head Stomp, and Psycho Charge from Street Fighter 5. While Gerald C. Rivers continues to voice M. Bison in the English dub, Taiten Kusunoki succeeds Norio Wakamoto as his Japanese voice actor.

After M. Bison, Terry Bogard from SNK's Fatal Fury franchise will join Street Fighter 6's roster in Autumn 2024. Elena will follow in Spring 2025, and Fatal Fury's Mai Shiranui will be added in Winter 2025.
