Fortnite: Major Pirates of the Caribbean Crossover Coming in Chapter 5 Season 3

A recent leak has revealed that a significant crossover with Pirates of the Caribbean is coming to Fortnite in Chapter 5 Season 3. Epic Games is renowned for collaborating with major IPs in Fortnite. Previous collaborations have included major franchises like Star Wars, Marvel, DC, and LEGO, bringing a plethora of popular properties into the game.

On May 3, Epic Games released its now seemingly annual Star Wars collaboration with Fortnite. As Star Wars-themed cosmetics flood the shop, themed items are un-vaulted throughout Fortnite’s game modes. Players can find items like Lightsabers, Blasters, Stormtroopers, and Darth Vader across the map during the event. Now, it appears Fortnite is gearing up for its next major crossover.

According to a tweet from reliable Fortnite leaker HYPEX, Pirates of the Caribbean may be the next major IP to cross over with the game. An earlier leaked roadmap for Fortnite included mentions of Metallica, Doctor Doom, Karol G, and Snoop Dogg. Among those listed was Pirates of the Caribbean, the Disney franchise that made its major film debut in 2003. This aligns with an image on the roadmap that suggests a Mad Max theme for Chapter 5 Season 3.

LEGO Fortnite Update and New Features

An update for LEGO Fortnite is also rumored to accompany the new season. The leaked roadmap includes an image of a LEGO version of a Klombo. Klombos were introduced in Fortnite's v19.10 update back in 2022. Players could feed Klombos up to two Klomberries at a time, which would then launch an item out of the blowhole located on the back of its head. It remains unclear what role Klombos will play in LEGO Fortnite.

The leaked roadmap has proven accurate so far, starting with the confirmation of Billie Eilish joining Fortnite Festival Season 3. A farming update for LEGO Fortnite, linked to the roadmap, was released on April 23. All these developments lend credibility to the roadmap leak, giving players the opportunity to look forward to future collaborations like Among Us, Fall Guys, and another Fortnite OG event.
