Meet Sethos: Genshin Impact's New Electro DPS Set to Debut in Version 4.7
A recent leak from Genshin Impact showcases the new character Sethos in combat against a Ruin Scout, offering insights into his capabilities as a damage dealer. In the upcoming Version 4.7, Genshin Impact plans to introduce three new characters: Clorinde, Sigewinne, and Sethos. While detailed information on these characters remains limited, early leaks have given us a glimpse of their abilities and roles. Clorinde is set to be an Electro DPS, Sigewinne will function as a healer who scales with HP, and Sethos is expected to be a four-star character who applies Electro, similar to Fischl.
According to reliable sources, Sethos will be positioned as a DPS character wielding the four-star Cloudwearer bow, which is said to be his signature weapon. He will scale with Elemental Mastery and is touted to have effective Electro application, akin to Clorinde. Additionally, Sethos is expected to act as a "battery" for other Electro units on his team by generating energy particles.
Leaked footage from a source known as Chief illustrates Sethos' potential within a team composition including Kazuha, Kirara, and Fischl. The video highlights Sethos’ mobility and combat positioning, showcasing him executing multiple Charged Attacks consecutively to deliver substantial Electro damage. For his weapon, the three-star Slingshot is considered a strong option due to its passive that boosts Normal and Charged attacks.
Overview of Genshin Impact’s Sethos:
Players can anticipate Sethos to fulfill a role similar to that of Fischl, focusing on particle generation for other Electro characters. His true strength is likely to unfold with enhancements from his Constellation levels.
Sethos, a new character from Sumeru, excels in Electro application. His toolkit includes recovery of Elemental Mastery and the ability to deal AoE damage to enemies in front. His Elemental Burst transitions him into a state called Twilight Meditation, where his normal attacks inflict additional damage, and he executes Shadowpiercing Shots that penetrate through enemies. Interestingly, his primary weapon, Cloudwearer, might be available for free in Version 4.7.
Sethos is slated for release in Genshin Impact’s Version 4.7, expected in June 2024, alongside Sigewinne during the second phase of the update. Players will be able to acquire these characters using Intertwined Fates, purchasable with Primogems, during their limited-time appearance on the banner.
