Get Ready for Sethos: Here’s What You Need to Farm for Genshin Impact’s Next Big Release in Version 4.7!
A well-known member of the Genshin Impact community, FouL, has disclosed the necessary Ascension and Talent materials for leveling up the character Sethos in the upcoming Version 4.7. Despite Clorinde and Sigewinne being highlighted as the main attractions of this version, Genshin Impact consistently demonstrates the value of its 4-Star characters. Notables like Fischl, Bennett, and Xiangling have become staples in the Spiral Abyss, and specialized supports like Faruzan are excelling in their roles.
Genshin Impact's 4-Star characters are often excellent for support or quickswap roles, particularly when they have high Constellations. Recent updates, especially those in the Fontaine series, have also enhanced their viability as primary combatants. For instance, Freminet serves a specific playstyle, while Gaming alongside Xianyun forms a robust Plunge Attack team, which has enabled characters like Diluc to adopt new combat strategies. Similarly, Furina significantly boosts Noelle’s damage output, showcasing great synergy between their abilities.
Sethos represents this trend as he is poised to become the fourth consecutive 4-Star male character primarily used as an on-field carry. Although initially anticipated to support Cyno, as hinted in Cyno’s second Story Quest, Sethos' kit is more akin to an Electro version of Tighnari.
The list of materials for Sethos’ Ascension and Talent upgrades includes:
- 46 Cloudseam Scales
- 168 Trishiraite
- 114 Philosophies of Praxis
- 18 Daka's Bell
Trishiraite, a Sumeru local specialty introduced in Version 3.6 and speculated to be crucial for future Sumeru characters, is finally being used. Cloudseam Scales are obtainable by defeating the world boss in Chenyu Vale, a zone introduced in Version 4.4. Furthermore, Sethos will utilize Daka's Bell for his talent enhancements, making Arlecchino the sole beneficiary of the new Trounce Domain for the time being.
Looking ahead, Version 4.8 is expected to introduce a limited-time map to Genshin Impact, with no new characters planned until the launch of Natlan. With a new world boss and various local specialties anticipated with Natlan, it might be some time before players have the opportunity to pre-farm materials again, a luxury that might not return until Version 5.3.
