Valve has also announced the dates for a new digital event called Steam Next Fest. These triannual multi-day promotions provide players with access to hundreds of PC game demos.

On Thursday, Lars Wingefors, CEO of Embracer Group, expressed his opinion about a new scheme that allows developers to claim 100% of revenue if they agree to make their games exclusive to the Epic Games Store for six months. He believes that this creates healthy competition for Steam and motivates the platform to deliver the best user experience. Wingefors also emphasized that developers often pay significant fees to platforms, which can exceed their game development expenses.
