The Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: Indigo Disk trailer showcases numerous returning legendary Pokémon
Below is a trailer showcasing previously unannounced Pokémon and the return of characters from the main game, such as Iono and Rhyme.
The trailer also highlights the Synchro mode, enabling players to play as their Pokémon.
According to a press release, once players progress sufficiently in their adventure in "The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Disk," they can use a device called the Synchro Machine to see the world through their Pokémon's eyes.
While synchronized with one of their Pokémon, players can move around and battle wild Pokémon, offering a fresh approach to the game. It appears this device is still in its prototype stage, becoming available to players after assisting a scientist in the Terarium with their research.
The release of "The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Disk" is scheduled for December 14, 2023.
Additionally, the return of numerous legendary Pokémon like Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos, Entei, Suicune, and Raikou has been confirmed.
After completing the main storyline of "The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Disk," players will encounter an intriguing character named Snacksworth at Blueberry Academy.
By completing Blueberry Quests (BBQs) in the Terarium, players will receive snacks from Snacksworth, enabling encounters with certain legendary Pokémon from previous games in the Paldea region. Snacksworth will also share extensive knowledge about these Pokémon and entertain trainers with fictional tales of their heroic encounters, as stated by The Pokémon Company.
As previously confirmed, all starter Pokémon will be accessible in the game for the first time in the series.
The trailer also introduces new forms for Miraidon and Koraidon, as well as a brief overview of a new type that will be introduced alongside Terapagos.
In a recent review of The Indigo Disk, it was noted: "The Indigo Disk aims to conclude this chapter of Pokémon on a high note. Despite the issues with the main game, Scarlet and Violet, this expansion seems far more significant than the Teal Mask and is likely to introduce a new generation of trainers to the depth of battling that Pokémon has always offered.
"Pokémon fans have long been requesting a challenging Pokémon game, and The Indigo Disk might just be it, provided you can tear yourself away from trying to catch a shiny Oshawott."
