High on Knife is a historical expansion with a horrifying theme, featuring voice acting by Saturday Night Live star Sarah Sherman.

"High On Knife remains funny and quirky, but this time we've added a touch of horror," said Mike Fridley, the CEO of Squanch Games when the DLC was announced in June. "Not the kind of horror that makes you think 'I'll never sleep again,' but definitely closer to 'my dreams will be shattered for a while.' Imagine body horror, but you start with a horrific body, and it gets even more dreadful. You'll have to trust us on that."

High on Life was released in December 2022 on PC and Xbox Series X/S before making its way to PS4 and PS5 in July 2023.

This comedic first-person shooter allows players to team up with talking firearms to take down an alien cartel threatening humanity.

At launch, the game set several engagement records on Xbox Game Pass. According to Microsoft, it was the biggest release on the subscription service in 2022, the largest third-party release ever, and the biggest single-player game release at the time.
