About $1 billion is spent annually to support Game Pass
Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, revealed that supporting the Game Pass service costs Microsoft approximately one billion dollars annually. He shared this during an interview with Windows Central.
Spencer highlighted that these funds are allocated to updating the service's game library and supporting third-party developers who subsequently provide their projects for Game Pass. This contributes to expanding the gaming catalog and attracting new users.
The head of Xbox also emphasized that Game Pass is financially sustainable and profitable for the company.
