Street Fighter 6 has unexpectedly released a beta version on PlayStation, while versions for Xbox and PC will be available later
Capcom pleasantly surprised PlayStation users by launching the beta version of Street Fighter 6. However, fans of the game on Xbox and PC will have to wait until next week.
Currently, the Street Fighter 6 beta is available on PS4 and PS5. Versions for Xbox Series X|S and PC will only be available next week, on April 26th.
Although Capcom has not announced the end date for the beta test, the studio confirmed in a recent statement that both Luke and Ryu will be available as playable characters. Additionally, players will be able to create and control their own avatar, which will be saved when transitioning to the full version of the game in June.
The beta version will also allow players to try out the beginning of the single-player World Tour mode, One On One fights, as well as a range of tutorials and character guides for newcomers.
However, some game features, such as the multiplayer mode and full roster of fighters, will not be available for testing in the beta version. Moreover, only two game commentators - Aru and Vicious - will be present in the beta, meaning fans will have to wait a little longer to hear WWE star Zelina Vega commentate their matches. Street Fighter 6 is set to release on June 2 and will feature 18 fighters at launch.
