Following in the footsteps of many other Western businesses, American Electronic Arts suspended sales of games and microtransactions in Russia and Belarus in March of last year. In November, it was announced that the company had decided to permanently leave Russia, with a statement of liquidation of the legal entity submitted on October 3, 2022.

Currently, Electronic Arts is actively optimizing its activities: the decision was made to close Apex Legends Mobile, stop work on Battlefield Mobile, cancel the single-player shooter Titanfall Legends, and reduce the workforce by 6%, which is approximately 780 people.
