Valve Gives Free SteamDeck to The Game Awards 2022 Viewers

On the eve of the “Gaming Oscar”, The Game Awards 2022, Valve unexpectedly showed up. And, with good news.

The company said that during the show, it will give a free SteamDeck to the audience of the ceremony. Valve promise to give away one console every minute of the presentation.

As The Verge has already calculated, in total, the creators of Half-Life and Portal will distribute 150 portable devices. The award ceremony will last 1.5 hours.

To try your luck and get the opportunity to get SteamDeck, it will be enough to watch The Game Awards ceremony through Steam: using Steam.TV or watching the show on the official page of the event. Residents of the USA, Canada, Great Britain and the countries of the European Union will be able to participate in the action. What kind of SteamDeck configuration will be played is not reported.

The Game Awards will take place on December 8 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, USA. Jeff Keely will award winners in 31 categories.
