EA announces partnership with Marvel
American game developer and publisher EA has announced a partnership with Marvel. Bilateral cooperation is designed for a “long period”.
It is known that corporations will create single action-projects in the collaboration. The first fruit of cooperation should be an Iron Man game.
Laura Miele, Chief Operating Officer of EA
We look forward to welcoming Marvel into the EA family of creators and know that this collaboration will bring an exceptional experience to our players. We can't wait to see how players react when they dress up as Iron Man and do the extraordinary things this superhero is known for.
The development of a new game dedicated to the central character of the Marvel comics and movie saga will be Olivier Proulx. He has previously created games in the Marvel universe, such as Marvel's Guardian Galaxy.
The first of several planned projects is in the early stages of development. The team is engaged in pre-production: creating story arcs for the characters, drawing the appearance of the characters, and so on.
Jay Ong, Executive Vice President of Marvel Games
At Marvel, we're committed to finding the best teams to take our characters on heroic journeys like no one else has, and working with Electronic Arts will help us achieve that.
In addition to the Iron Man game, the companies will release two more action-adventure games. What kind of games they will be is not reported.
There is no approximate release date for IP about Tony Stark, like the other two games. More information about creating projects will appear in the future.
