HBO Max showed new footage of the series The Last of Us

HBO has shared plans for the next year. At the end of a 2 minute and 20 second video on the HBO Max YouTube channel, video game fans saw footage from the highly anticipated series.

The series is an adaptation of the original game The Last of Us, which was released in 2013 on the PlayStation 3. We were shown one of the scenes in which Joel and Ellie share their feelings about the loss of loved ones. Also in one of the scenes, we were shown growths of the cordyceps fungus. Cordyceps is the cause of the infected in the TLOU universe. The series is slated to release on HBO Max in 2023.

In addition, a remake of the first part of the series, The Last Of Us Part I, will be released in the fall. The release is scheduled for September 2 this year on PlayStation 5. The game will also reach the PC, but the release date is still unknown.
