Bandai Namco has earned over $800,000,000 in a year and is the top publisher on Steam. Video Game Insights has published a study that focuses on video game publishers on the Steam service.
The study shows that the largest number of publishers are represented in the United States, which is not surprising, because this country is an extremely rich market and the birthplace of video games. The United States accounts for almost a quarter of all companies releasing games in the service from Valve, namely 564 publishers. They are followed by the UK (10%), Canada (7%), Germany (7%) and Sweden (5%).
The leader of the platform is Bandai Namco, their leadership is explained by the release of Elden Ring, which managed to sell over 13.4 million copies in the first month. It is also worth noting that the top 250 publishers on the site generate 91% of all revenue on Steam over the past 365 days. And the top 10 companies account for an impressive 40% share.
