Diablo Immortal is one of the top 2 worst rated games on Metacritic
Diablo Immortal players did not like the Diablo sequel monetization system that the publishers of Diablo Immortal decided to use. The donation system discourages users from playing so much that they began to massively underestimate the game on the main review aggregator Metacritic.
The mobile version of Diablo Immortal, which received an average score from players in the form of 0.8 points on Metacritic, was hit. Thus, the title entered the top 2 lowest rated games in the history of Metacritic. Previously, the so-called "Golden Raspberry" award in the gaming industry was received by another game from the same Blizzard - Warcraft 3: Reforged. The "remaster" of the third Warcraft received a rating of 0.6 points from users.
All Diablo Immortal players have big questions about the microtransaction system. In their fair opinion, in the new game from Blizzard Entertainment, developers offer users too often and too much to buy various chests and skins. For example, after each completion of the dungeons, players receive offers to buy “profitable” sets with different items and currencies. If pumping in Diablo is estimated in terms of money, then it is necessary to spend about $115,000 for the full development of the character. This is not surprising, since mobile games are mostly made just to be monetized through microtransactions, from which the main income for developers and publishers of projects in this market comes.
Diablo Immortal was released on June 2 on PC and mobile devices running on Android and iOS. The PC version is in open beta. Users from Russia are currently unable to play this title due to Blizzard leaving the market in this country. Despite this, the presence of the Russian language remained in the game. Since the release of Diablo Immortal has been downloaded more than 5,000,000 times, which allowed the developers to overcome the bar of $2,000,000 dollars earned from the game in a fairly short period of time.
