InZOI Unveils Island Getaway DLC at Gamescom 2025

At Gamescom 2025, Krafton revealed a brand-new trailer for the Island Getaway DLC of its life simulation game InZOI. The expansion was featured during Opening Night Live, alongside a mix of surprising premieres and highly anticipated announcements, and it marks one of the biggest updates for the game since its early access debut in March 2025.

InZOI: A Growing Life Simulator

InZOI is Krafton’s ambitious entry into the life simulation genre, drawing comparisons to The Sims. Players create customizable characters called Zois, shaping their virtual lives with choices that span from raising a family to buying homes, pursuing careers, and more. Since launch, the game has steadily expanded with new features, and Island Getaway represents the next major step in its evolution.

A First Look at Island Getaway

The newly released trailer gives fans a taste of the DLC’s tropical setting and activities. It opens with a character riding a motorcycle, fishing, and snapping photos, before a twist reveals the sequence was only a dream as the character awakens in prison. Beyond the humor, the footage highlights several upcoming activities, including debating, farming, and crop planting.

Set on Cahaya, a location inspired by the islands of Southeast Asia, Island Getaway blends lush natural landscapes with a relaxing resort city. Players will be free to explore both the main island and a dedicated resort island, enjoying leisure activities such as swimming, boating, snorkeling, and more.

New Features and Content

The DLC isn’t just about scenery — it introduces a wealth of new gameplay options:

• Resource systems: Farming, mining, gem crafting, and fishing add depth to player activities.
• Vehicles: Electric scooters and motorcycles expand how players explore the world.
• Customization: Tropical-themed clothing, accessories, and hairstyles bring a summer vibe to Zois.
• Interactions: New features like thought bubbles, cooperative actions, and random encounters allow for more dynamic and story-driven gameplay.

In addition, the DLC delivers technical upgrades, including UI and UX improvements for smoother play, support for gamepads (in testing), and over 90 new in-game tracks to enhance the experience.
