Rumor: Next Star Wars Jedi Might Be Subtitled Survivor
After the release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and the success of the game, it was immediately decided to develop the next part. Now insiders and the media are trying to piece together the available information about the development of the sequel to the aforementioned game. Jeff Grubb, a well-known journalist who knows how to find information from closed sources, said that the next part of the Star Wars Jedi series will be subtitled Survivor.
The publisher of the game represented by Electronic Arts has not yet commented on this rumor. Grubb also revealed that the next Star Wars Jedi game could be shown as part of the Star Wars Celebration, which is scheduled to take place May 26-29 in Anaheim.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was released on June 9, 2018. The title is an action-adventure game. The game was developed by Respawn Entertainment, known for such projects as Titanfall, Titanfall 2, Apex Legends and Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond. The game has seven planets to explore, and the concept of a large open world has elements of metroidvania (obtaining new skills gives players access to locations that were previously inaccessible).
The title was received fairly well by gaming journalists. On average, the PC version received an 81 out of 100 from critics and a 7.9 out of 10 from casual gamers.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order isn't the only Star Wars game in development. In December last year, it became known that the company Quantic Dream, specializing in the creation of interactive movies, began the development process of Star Wars Eclipse. According to available information, the release of the game from Quantic Dream will take place no earlier than 2027.
