The new device will use PlayStation 5 technologies like Tempest 3D Audio. PS VR2 controllers will be equipped with adaptive triggers, and the headset itself will track the direction of the eyes and support tactile vibration.

In addition to the technical characteristics, the first project on the PlayStation VR 2 was announced - Horizon: Call of the Mountain. This is a story-driven game in the Horizon universe, not directly related to Zero Down and Forbidden West, but Aloy herself will drop into Call of the Mountain.

Developers are Guerilla Games, the authors of the original dilogy, and Firesprite, responsible for The Persistence VR. More details about Horizon Call of the Mountain are promised to be revealed later.
