The development team of "EA Sports FC" proudly introduces a new technology that promises to revolutionize the perception of virtual and real football
At the recent EA Sports event, it was proudly announced that the upcoming game, EA Sports FC, promises to deliver a new level of immersion and aims to blur the line between virtual and real football. Fans were given a first glimpse of the game and its features at the La Liga's Nueva Era event (via The Loadout).
David Jackson, Vice President of EA Sports FC, explained that the underlying technology behind player animation, HyperMotion V, utilizes over 590 million frames of real football matches. This results in the most advanced in-game animation ever created by the studio, surpassing the data volume used in the development of FIFA 23 by 80 times. This technological advancement allows for a seamless integration of virtual and real football, enhancing the overall realism of the game through the use of new player positioning data and camera tracking.
In addition to this, EA Sports FC will be enhanced with high-quality player models, official club cosmetics, and dynamic "broadcast-style presentations of real league matches."
Following the split between EA and FIFA, Nick Wlodarczyk, the head of the EA Sports FC brand, stated that the new game will be a symbol of innovation and change. The significant technical leaps between FIFA 23 and the upcoming project fully align with this concept.
