Danish esports organization Astralis has sold its Spanish academic team Astralis Stormbringers to sports and entertainment company Kosmos. As part of the acquisition, the streamer Ibai merged with the company and will become a co-owner of the team. In addition, FC Barcelona defender and Kosmos president Gerard Piqué will be co-owned.

Astralis Stormbringers' seat in LVP Superliga was bought for € 300,000. The associated league rights were also included in the deal. Interestingly, Fnatic and Team Heretics were also interested in buying the roster.

The new Ibai and Piqué team will compete in the League starting next year. The name under which the Spanish line-up will perform is still unknown.

It is worth mentioning that Astralis Stormbringers won their place in the LVP Superliga in early August. At the same time, Astralis secured a spot in the Nordic League of Legends Championship (NLC), where the organization's team will compete against teams from Northern Europe, the UK and Ireland. The start of the tournament is scheduled for January next year.
