Indian esports organization Stalwart Esports has completely switched from cash to crypto on its balance sheet. The organization became the first esports club to fully switch to cryptocurrency. All salary payments to employees and players will also be made in cryptocurrency.

The move comes at a time when the Indian government is reportedly considering a cryptocurrency ban. Despite this, Stalwart founder Zeyan Shafik expressed confidence in the organization's decision to go digital.

"We believe that cryptocurrency - this is the future, and in e-sports have many opportunities to blokcheyn technologies. Another main reason for this move is that Stalwart will launch its own crypto token later this year that fans of the organization can use to buy and trade. "

Note that along with this announcement, Stalwart Esports introduced the PUBG Mobile team. The organization signed the Astra Academy collective that won the PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) South Asia Championship last June.

Shafik stated that the salaries of the PUBG Mobile squad players are one of the highest in South Asian esports: $ 50,000 per year.
